The Milwaukee M12 REDLITHIUM XC6.0 Battery Pack delivers up to 3x more runtime, 20% more power and 2x more recharges than standard lithium-ion batteries. The lithium-ion battery pack features superior pack construction, electronics, and performance providing users more work per charge and more work over pack life than any battery on the market. The rechargeable battery also delivers users with 5.0 Amp-hours of runtime. Each battery pack is durably built for heavy-duty use, runs cooler, and performs in climates below 0 degree F/minis 18 degree C. Its compact, lightweight design allows users to work in tight work spaces and reduces fatigue. Built-in REDLINK Intelligence protects the battery from overloads, preventing users from damaging their cordless power tools in heavy-duty situations, while the discharge protection prevents cell damage. An integrated temperature Management system and individual cell monitoring help to maximize battery life. Switch to Milwaukee’s REDLITHIUM XC6.0 Battery Pack to instantly upgrade the runtime and durability of Milwaukee M12 cordless tools.
I have almost every m12 tool made, and I love the m12 fuel, but the larger 4 and 6 amp/he batteries have given me the same problem that other people have. Small drops even falling off chairs and small step ladders end up breaking the tabs. On some of my tools I have to use the larger amp/he batteries because they eat up the smaller ones, i like that bigger batteries seem to make the tools sit more stable, but they seem so fragile. I have spent almost as much on batteries as i have on tools and that’s sad. I just love the m12 line though, the size to power ratio is perfect for me

I have over $15k in milwaukee tools & batteries. I love all of their products except these dang 6.0 m12 batteries. I don’t use my m12 stuff as often as my m18 but I’m starting to use them more. I have 2 m12 6.0 batteries that just blink red & green & will not charge. I used each battery maybe 8-10 times. I keep them charged up so they don’t die down so far where they can’t be recharged. What gives??

I bought one of these because I disliked the performance and styling of the 2.0’s I had. I’ve had 1 for over a year and just recently got another, along with x2 4.0’s and they don’t have the issues mentioned. I’m also not kind to my tools; I use them for anything and everything, from below zero temperatures to being a temporary hammer. The only thing I don’t do is store the batteries in the cold. I’m not posting this to refute the claims being made, only to state that a lot of us who don’t have issues with the 6.0’s don’t really think twice since they worked for us. I for one recommend these if you want to get the most bang out of your M12 tools.

Does charge anymore. Have only had this m12 battery for a couple months. Now it just flashes. I thought milwaukee batteries were awesome? Maybe the m18s are but not the m12s

I have ten of the 6.0 batteries and only five will charge. 3 of them are less a year old. I’ve got plenty of 3.0 and 4.0 batteries that I’ve had for years and none of them have ever flashed red and green. There is obviously a big problem with the 6.0 batteries considering every negative review is the same red and green flashing problem. I have invested so much money in both the 18 and 12 volt lines that it would cost me many thousands of dollars to switch brands.

I have nearly all the tools available for the 12v system with multiple 1.5&2.0 batteries and never had an issue. Bought an xc6.0 for the die grinder tool and have had nothing but issues. Red and green lights flash when attempting to charge it in multiple chargers that have no issues charging the smaller batteries. Totally disappointed and enraged I wasted the money.

It charged the first time (or i think it did), then after that i get the red/green blink and won’t charge.
None of my other M12 batteries have that problem. I’m going to imagine it’s a M12 XC6.0 problem.
To top it off, the XC6.0 burned up one of my chargers. I put the battery on the charger, i got the infamous Red/green/red flash and the charger died. I tried the XC6.0 battery on another charger and the same red/green flash, then a solid red/green. I pulled the battery.

I was using this battery with my M12 5 3/8 circular saw or a M12 Work light. It was almost dead whenever I initially opened up the packaging. It was never able to be recharged by any other charger than Milwaukee tools slowest 12 volt charger and would show broken battery when plugged into a M18/M12 Rapid Charger. Hopefully this issue can be resolved quickly it’s my first bad battery in 4years and I have an extensive collection.

I’ve been using Milwaukee for years. The 6.0 is necessary for use in my 3/8 impact as I’m a mobile mechanic by trade. Between the batteries lasting 3-4 months before giving me the flashing red and green lights of death or the tabs breaking so they don’t stay in the tool, I’m at a loss. Never have I experienced such poor quality. I have the original M18 1/2 impact that finally died on me last week after 7 years of abuse, I went to the store and HAPPILY bought another one because it’s worth it. These batteries are trash, don’t waste your money.

I have 10of these batteries and they don’t seem to fit in some of the tools right. Because my side clips keep snapping off on the 6.0. other size batteries are fine.
